Some updates and fixes
Hello again! Time for some updates on what we've been doing for the last days.
First off we've done some maitenance on the submission server, which resulted in some downtime over the weekend. It should be back to normal now however so feel free to submit!
Secondly, we've had some problems with logins in the forums. This is/was due to a hardware failure on the forum server that caused us to relocate the whole forum to a new server. There are some settings left to do before it works flawlessly, but it should work better now then it did last week. Speaking of login issues, we've also found the reason for the strange login problems some have reported - this only applies to those using Internet Explorer with security settings set to high. This problem is now solved so if you had this problem, please try again!
We've also added a new feature for subscribers:
On the index page and FA minisite index pages you will now find all the latest FA releases in the right column below the big black buttons. On the main index you will only see today's FA releases, while on a minisite you will see all releases by that artist for the whole week.
We also found and solved an irritating bug that caused the wrong expansion/stuff pack icons to show on the item details page. It would only show the Sims 2 icon over and over if any stuff packs were required. This now shows correctly again.
There are many more behind the scenes changes going on as we speak, so check for another update soon :)
Various fixes and updates
Here are some of the fixes that's been released lately:
- Bigger preview image on the details page. When there is only 1 image it now fills the whole width.
- You can now click on the bigger images on the lots details pages to get the full image in a lightbox.
- Thank the artist link on the browse page now appears after downloading, as well as a direct link to post a comment.
- Popular searches (works like a tag cloud) available under the filters on the downloads pages.
We've also done various bugfixes and updates throughout. Look for another update soon! :)
Various updates
We've done a lot of work behind the scenes for the last week. Here are some of the visible fixes:
- A whole new comments section. Open your Dashboard and check out the new comments overview.
- Download History is now working properly and has been reformatted to suit better.
- The poll feature is improved and now has tabs for you to easily understand how to create/edit a poll.
There are many other small bugfixes not mentioned here - but that's it for now! :)
Various fixes today
As usual, here is a rundown of today's fixes (only mentioning the main ones):
- SA/FA badge added to their respective creations both in browse and details view
- Recommended/Required items are no longer cut off in browse view
- Kitchen & Bath stuff pack is now listed as a stuff pack, not expansion
- Bigger images for featured items, artist focus and upcoming items (this is a work in progress!), your feedback is welcome on this one
- Tutorials pod image fixed in size and image added on the tutorials content page (so you know what you clicked on!)
- New login option added for those with problems logging in, just mark the checkbox next to the login button and give it a try
We're working on a thank you button in browse view, new pods for the minisites + much more to come, stay tuned! :)
Various updates and fixes today
We've fixed many things behind the scenes, but some of the highlights so far today are:
- FA/SA no longer see ads (this is one of their privileges)
- Item ID is now displayed for each creation on the details page
- Set items are now hidden by default on the details page (to make it easier to see comments)
- Fixed broken download links on recommended and required items in both detail and browse view
- If you are logged in as a subscribeer, subscriber only items are no longer marked as Subscriber Only with a key icon
- Blog pods now update with the latest blog entry
- It is now more prominent when a creation has required items on the details page (title and link added in description)
- Search results (and suggestions) now show Sims 2 first instead of Sims 1
- Hitting the return key in Explorer when doing a search now works as intended in downloads browse view (didn't initiate search before)
We'll continue filling this list up tomorrow - enjoy! :)
More fixes and tweaks today
Here's a summary of the bigger fixes today:
- There's a more prominent stats bar added to the downloads details pages.
- The credits field is back on the details pages (sorry everyone!).
- More info on the browse page, such as number of thanks and comments.
- Recommended items does no longer mark an item as having required items and is listed seperately from required items in browse view. If an item has both required items, recommended items and installation instructions, it will skip showing recommended items on the browse page (you will find them on the details page!).
- An error with the blogs pod has been corrected and it now shows the latest blog entries there.
- Finally the PM link on profile pages has been added back in!
Allow up to 4 hours for all changes to show due to caching.
Hope you like :)
Cyan colorscheme added
It is available under your editing page as the 7th colorscheme. Enjoy (those of you who like cyan)! :)
Installation instructions + other info returns!
This was missed somehow but has now been added back. You can find installation instructions directly in the downloads browse view as well as on the details pages.
We have also added back the link to find recolors for meshes and the ability to see the complete set while browsing individual items. Both those links can be found in the left hand link list on the details pages.
Look for more fixes coming soon! :)
Downloads index finetuned + others
I've spent some time restructuring the downloads index with the new 2 and 3 column view. The download buttons has been merged into the box for each item, the required items info no longer hides the buttons and item info + many other smaller changes and fixes.
I've also removed some of the clutter by making all pod headers the same color (as suggested by DOT!).
For convenience sake I've also added a link to this blog from the frontpage.
Hope you like :)
